Ticker Usage

A quick method to disseminate information quickly to COBRA users is place critical information in the Ticker.  Multiple Ticker messages can be added and edited as information is gathered or changed.  Each Ticker can be turned on and off as needed.  When more than one Ticker is added they will cycle through approximately every 5 seconds.

  Jeremy,

  At this time the ticker duration is not changeable.  What are you looking to extend it to?

  I've seen one state use this to post the latest on the # cases in the state - quick and easy way to know you're getting the latest, authoritative count of cases.

  Is it possible to set make the duration of how long each ticker stays visible something admins can set vs. the default 5 seconds?

  Dan,

  We were looking to see if it could have a possibility of us setting a time frame or a few options. Depending on the ticker message, 5 seconds can go really fast.

   

  Currently we have a good number of pre-loaded tickers set that we can select multiple to cycle or a single one for one of our archived incidents but would like to see if there is a way to also have tickers be imported from one incident or storage location to another.
